Leaked Rayman Legends for Wii U trailer showcases NFC feature (video)
If you're counting down the days till the Wii U is released, you might recall that back in January Nintendo chief Satoru Iwata said the console will ship with an NFC chip inside. Well, you can now get a taste of how games will incorporate that feature, thanks to this just-leaked trailer for Rayman Legends. According to the video, Rayman Rabbid action figures can jump into the game when a player taps them to the Wii U's screen. (It looks like that trick will work with an Assassin's Creed Ezio Auditore da Firenze figurine too.) Check out the trailer, courtesy of Gamekult, while you can -- after all, Ubisoft didn't want you to glimpse the U's magical powers just yet.

Walmart Adds ?Pay With Cash? For Online Shoppers At Walmart.com
Walmart.com is launching a new way to checkout, targeting customers who don't have credit or debit cards...or money in the bank for that matter. The company is now allowing customers to buy online and pay with cash. The change reflects the current economic conditions in the U.S., as Walmart states (citing FDIC figures) that one in four U.S. households is "unbanked" or "underbanked" - meaning they rely on cash for their purchases. In addition, Walmart says the majority of its own in-store transactions are cash or debit, and only 15% are paid for using credit cards.underworld awakening dog the bounty hunter tacoma narrows bridge weather nyc open marriage department of justice doj
Zynga Beats Q1 Estimates With Revenues Of $321 Million As Mobile Usage Climbs To 21M Daily
Zynga's revenues rose 32 percent to $321 million in the first quarter, beating analysts' estimates of $316.8 million in revenue and earnings of 5 cents a share excluding stock-based expenses. Bookings* came in at a record $329 million, up 15 percent over the year before, and up 7 percent compared to the previous quarter -- meaning Zynga didn't see that seasonal decline in revenues that Facebook did. The company said revenue growth was driven by the launch of games like Hidden Chronicles and Castleville and its increasing footprint on mobile platforms. Overall, Zynga posted a net loss of $85.4 million, mostly because of stock-based expenses. Excluding those expenses of $133.9 million, Zynga would have had earnings per share of 6 cents or $47 million. That would be down 38 percent from the year before. The company also raised its annual guidance to $1.425 billion to $1.5 billion in bookings, up from $1.35 to $1.45 billion. Shares are down 1 percent in after-hours trading to $9.33.snooty fox el debarge portland weather clintonville battlestar galactica blood and chrome my morning jacket roger goodell

With 7B Photos, Flickr Debuts New Speedy, HTML5 Image Uploader; Drag And Drop Interface, And More
Yahoo's photos sharing site, Flickr, has been steadily redesigning a number of components of its platform over the past few months, including editing (courtesy of Aviary), photo views and more. And today, Flickr, which says it is home to more than 7 billion photos, is debuting a new, speedier, HTML5 photo uploader for images. With the HTML5 technology, Flickr's uploader has a more robust experience, including drag and drop functionality. So instead of only being able to upload manually, you can add photos by dragging them into the browser. Yahoo will also show your thumbnail previews of photos, so you can manage and reorder photos before they hit your photostream. And you can zoom, rotate or sort your photos by title within the uploader itself, as opposed to within the photostream.george lopez bedtime stories micron susan g komen kenyon martin kenyon martin big miracle
Apple's WWDC hitting San Francisco on June 11th
It's time to shift around that summer vacation. Apple today announced that it will be kicking off this year's World Wide Developers Conference on June 11th at San Francisco's Moscone West. The event is set to run through the 15th, focusing on developing for OS X Mountain Lion and iOS, by way of 100-plus technical sessions and hands-on labs, letting the developer community work directly with Cupertino staff -- and you can bet we'll be there as well. More info on the event -- including ticket purchasing details -- can be found in the press release after the break.
Update: Aaand, it's sold out. After two hours, Apple is saying that no more tickets are available. Looks like you're going to have to enjoy some post-show videos instead.
